The Appawin Journey
The journey of our company began in 1970, when Mr. T.K. Basheer started a small-scale local spices trading business in Kerala. With dedication and a strong work ethic, the business gradually expanded, and by 2000, it had grown into a domestic-level trading network, supplying high-quality spices to major Indian cities including Delhi, Mumbai, Gujarat, Kolkata, and Chennai.
In 2018, his son Mr. Sahal T Basheer took over the legacy and transformed it into a modern trading company under the name Acumen Exporters. With a new vision and strategic direction, the company entered national and international trade, strengthening its presence in the global market.
By 2025, the company underwent a new formation and rebranded itself as Appawin Pvt. Ltd., launching the Appawin brand. Expanding beyond spices, the company diversified into vegetables, fruits, coconuts, and later added building materials and paints to its export portfolio.
Today, Appawin Pvt. Ltd. stands as a symbol of trust, quality, and excellence in both export and import sectors. With proper certifications, strong global partnerships, and a clear vision for the future, the company continues its successful journey — delivering India’s best products to the world and building on a legacy of over five decades.
